Go to my computer, right click your hard drive and click properties. You will see how much hard drive space is available.

If you have less than 400mb of space you need to upgrade your hard drive to a more spacious drive.

If not you should call Apple and talk to tech support.

Are you sure that the location that iTunes is downloading to has sufficient disk space for the download you are doing?

How big are the files you tried to download and does your hard drive have enough space to store them?
If your HD has the space, contact iTunes support.
