I am in a boys choir group and we will be singing the song "Hip to be Square" by Hughie Louis And the News and our choreographer said to dress "nerdy" and i was wondering if anyone had some suggestions as to what to were. I dont want to look too nerdy, but I also want to look the part. Some suggestions were to were small clothes or hiked up pants I was thinking more along the lines of something like sweater vest or whatever, please send in your suggestions! Pictures would be appreciated also. Thanks!

The sweater vest is a good idea, just make sure it's not too "neat." Wear some rolled up pants and some thick glasses, and "Voila!" instant nerd!

Short sleeve button up shirt, bow tie, hiked up dress pants, SUSPENDERS, socks with sandals, and of course the big ugly glasses taped on the nosebridge. Or maybe just a hideous Hawaiian shirt over a tank top, khaki shorts and the socks with sandals again. Some combo of the above with make you super-dee-duper nerdy.

I was in a show were one of the characters had to look nerdy.. We went with big huge glasses (get some plastic big nerdy glasses) , gel your hair back creapily,tuck your sweater in, a dark colour or a bright colour, anything nerdy, and pull your jeans up to your waist, and wear your socks over your pants and wear runners! Trust me this outfit will make you look retarted!

A short-sleeved white shirt and a skinny black tie would work really nice with black, plastic rimmed glasses with some white tape over the nose piece. Black pants with a black belt and some white socks with penny loafer shoes would go perfectly. The last thing, a pocket protector. You can get one at Staples or an Office Depot type store for really cheap.

The sweater vest sounds good, with some creased slacks with the cuffs rolled up. Part your hair and slick it down. But on some glasses with square, black frames.

I don't know anything about the song you're singing, but here's a suggestion: dress slacks (probably black), dress shirt (white), suspenders, and a tie. Try adding fake glasses, too!

any of these little things should work:
collared shirt, with a sweater vest.
pants a little to high up, or to short.
high socks with sandals.
glasses
slicked back hair
pencil behind ear

something with suspenders would be good. And dark framed glasses with masking tape around the center would be perfect.

i would suggest wearing a cute teal-blue shirt with black skinny jeans for girls. oh. try to make the shirt silk. (with belt around the waist?) hope this helps! -Erika
