Compelled to constantly hide him from the murderous King Herod, the parents of Jesus could not allow their son to go out, and he, no doubt, spent all his time in studying the sacred Scriptures, so that his knowledge was sufficiently beyond what would naturally have been expected of a boy of his age. He had in his thirteenth year attained an age when, according to Jewish law, the boy becomes an adult, has the right to marry, and incurs obligations for the discharge of the religious duties of a man.
There exists still, in our times, among the Israelites, an ancient religious custom that fixes the majority of a youth at the accomplished thirteenth year. From this epoch the youth becomes a member of the congregation and enjoys all the rights of an adult. Hence, his marriage at this age is regarded as having legal force, and is even required in the tropical countries. In Europe, however, owing to the influence of local laws and to nature, which does not contribute here so powerfully as in warm climates to the physical development, this custom is no more in force and has lost all its former importance.
The royal lineage of Jesus, his rare intelligence and his learning, caused him to be looked upon as an excellent match, and the wealthiest and most respected Hebrews would fain have had him for a son-in-law, just as even nowadays the Israelites are very desirous of the honor of marrying their daughters to the sons of Rabbis or scholars.

The truth is that Jesus would not have been thought of as a good catch. There is no reason to believe that the events surrounding his birth were ever lost on his community. It is unlikely that Jesus ever shook off the rumor that he was the bastard son of his unfaithful mother. There would be much to substantiate that feeling among his family and neighbors. Their strange disappearance after his birth when the family goes to Egypt would only have added to the rumors. His peculiar behavior as a theological prodigy would not have endeared him to a culture that believed children should be see and not heard. His crazy cousin John would also add to the speculation that the family was off the bean. Joseph's apparent death and or abandonment of the family would not have contributed to positive feelings about Jesus or the family. If this all sounds far fetched, remember that the gospel narratives have Jesus' family including his mother attempting an intervention, because even they think he is mad. Whether Joseph died or left, it would be Jesus' responsibility to run the family business or at least bring in an income. All making courtship and marriage a difficulty. We know that he enjoys the company of women, but who knows? Perhaps not enough to be married. Rather than invent a theological reason for him not marrying, the point is that the historical narrative does not record it. And then of course, John the Apostle seems pretty tight with him. From my point of view it would not change a thing about his message or his mission.

Jesus got sent off to the Indus for some Buddhist training on a student exchange programme. It got him out of the area for the reasons you mentioned. His counterpart, Siddhartha did indeed get married to a local girl and went on to have a happy mixed race family.
By the time God's Son came home he was on a mission to Save Man and did not have time for the whole human pursuit of marriage etc.

I'm gay and I'm married. So I don't think that is necessarily the reason.
He was unconventional in just about everything. The people he hung out with were not exactly following the main stream. So custom and convention do not seem to have a strong influence on him.
I think it was intentional that he did not marry. He has his bride in view dear Matt and it's you He adores. He is saving himself for you.

It wasn't His purpose to marry. His purpose was to live and teach us about God and correct misconceptions that religion had made, and then die for us so we can get to heaven.
