His doctor says he need to lose weight. I already influence the majority of his diet since I do the grocery store . . . but he's not too keen on getting out there and excercising. He needs low impact options since he has chronic pain in his back and left leg. Also any options need to be low or no cost. Thanks for your help!

Sex!!!

I had a girlfriend once that wanted me to work out, so she would give me the choice of some objectionable activity like cleaning the bathroom or 30 min of exercise with her. To sweeten the deal i got pick her work out wardrobe.. or lack there of.

There are some home fitness programs that work very well. I have experience using Beachbody products and they've been very good. Some pros: being able to work out in the comfort and privacy of your own home, cheap cost, very little equipment needed.

Some of their programs are higher impact, others offer lower impact exercises, etc.

What I'd suggest is to check out www.beachbody.com, pick a program that looks fun, then start doing it yourself and get him to work out with you at the same time. Make it a couple thing!

Going to a combo spa /pool to swim and soak

Having a tickle fight with you
