just wash your face as frequent as you can. also prevent touching your face because your hand might have oil, and your pillow can be your worst enemie too..

When I was an adolescent, I had the same problem and it caused me a lot of embarrassment, so I know what it's like for you.

I'm assuming that you don't have a medical problem-----there's a soap I used name is Phisohex------it comes in a tube and is sort of creamy in texture with a little bit of a gritty feel. Don't use any regular soap on your face------just the phisohex. Wash at least three times a day. I'm assuming you're a female, so, being a male , I don't know for sure, but I assume makeup would be OK.

After using the phisohex, it's a good idea to use cotton balls and alcohol (isopropyl, or rubbing alcohol is fine) on your face.

Good luck to you.

Do not wash your face 3 times a day. Your oil glands will overwork and make your face oilier. I am sorry to say this but Proactive is excellent. It does not only work on celebrities. I have been using it for years (before P-Diddy and Jessica Simpson jumped on the band wagon) and it works great and I can assure you that I am not a celebrity and I do not own stock in it. It works great.

You should probably go see a dermatologist, or a doctor. They can give you a perscription to something that will more than likley help you get rid of your acne. Also, wash your face 2 times a day. It is really important to lessen the oils on your skin, but don't wash it too many times or it irratates it. Avoid touching it and picking at it. Drink lots of water as well.

A few things that you probably already have around the house:
Ice, and acne medication
(read below)

Trust me, the ice makes all the difference in the world
Also - vinegar makes a good toner that kills acne causing bacteria. Rinse well after it has been on a few minutes. Dilute with water if you need to.

after washing your face, put lemon juice on the problem areas. Do this at night and leave on until morning when you can rinse it off.
Continue using the lemon juice until you see improvement which usually takes less than a week.
It will unclog the pores, if this is the cause of your problem.

Retinal products by prescription from your dermatologist like Retin A micro helps with blackheads. I get a salicylic beta peel from my derm's office every 4-6 months and it keeps acne away and pores smaller. Interim I use a Biore salicylic pore cleanser and retin a micro (rentin only 2x per week) bye bye blackheads.
