I have always read a lot even from the time I was a young child. Having read so many books, my favorite is usually the one that I'm reading at the time if it is teaching me.

Right now I'm reading another of Joyce Meyers, "The Battlefield of the Mind".

I love books by Thomas Merton. I have most of his.
"Life and Holiness" and "No Man is an Island" are good.

Also there is a Buddhist that has written many books.(I can't spell his name) but one of his books is "Peace Is Every Step".

Things by St. Teresa of Avila or John of the Cross are also my favorites. Most people would find these difficult, especially St. John. But there are some small books of prayers of his that are good. And I love his poetry. It is very mystical.

Tips for Tackling Teenage Troubles, by Brad Wilcox, might be one. He talks to young readers about solving personal problems by comparing life to football. It's better than it sounds.
