I know there have been a lot of Californians flocking to Oregon (and every other hot spot state in this country) over the past few years and I've heard there's some serious anti-california sentiment in Oregon. How true is that? How do you personally feel about Californians? I'm doing a survey and would really appreciate honest responses from Oregonians only. If you are a transplant to Oregon from another location please respond as well with your experiences of being from another place. Thanks everyone!!

I lived in Oregon 46 years, and the California influx has been going on since the early 70's. I remember there was a huge outcry and a lot of negative sentiment back then, even Oregon "ungreeting cards" ... but much of that has changed overall.

I have no negative feelings at all towards californians or people from other states. Oregon is a great place to live, and if they discover that as well, more power to them!

Californians should stay in that hell they created for themselves and stop spreading their horrible presence all over the western states as they have done for decades. I don't care if Oregon goes bankrupt, at least Oregonians would have piece of mind if Californians and what ever money and businesses that they shove in our face would stay the hell out. We want Oregon to stay Oregon and not some messed up California hybrid.

Californians bug. They totally are making our cute little city grow. a few years ago, people always waved when cutting in front of me (driving). Now, 1 in 10 maybe will wave. Californians are narcissistic, don't even notice that others have rights too. I wish Portland was still small and it's all the Californian's faults. Also, our housing prices are outrageous - also their fault, because they can come up here and buy whatever they want after selling their overpriced California houses.

i'm from southern california and that i'm also contained in the army residing in washington state. In my 3 years contained in the army, I actually have heard from many human beings no longer from california that they dont get alongside with californians or purely hate california often. maximum of those human beings have by no ability been to california and surely those that did say that once which went replaced their minds thoroughly. maximum of of state human beings imagine we are purely too liberal, gay, or only a**holes. Its outstanding although that being californian you could actual tell who else is californian in view that we are very laid decrease back and open minded. The Oregonians I actually have met and talked too are quite somewhat all usa and that i actually have not gotten alongside with them that a lot reason all of them personal guns and are avid hunters. i'm no longer a gun human being and frequently purely no longer a usa human being so that they immediately dislike me. I purely imagine they are ignorant and my assumption in various of circumstances is shown my debating distinct topics with them. we are loopy drivers yet i nevertheless imagine creating use of the speed reduce contained in the quick lane is extremely ridiculous. sure i do california stops at provide up signs and indicators too. Because Oregon is the greatest place to live, we simply do not want dirty mined, water polluting, smog making and over developers of land moving into our state. We are a relaxed tree-hugging state. People from Cali, in general are overbearing, loud, rude and don't care about the enviroment. Plus they think we should all speak Spanish.
