Trinidad? Martinique? Bahamas? Puerto Rico? Jamaica?

I have Jimmy Buffett syndrome lol. This is for the time being hypothetical because I don't have a lot of money:-( I've never actually been to the Caribbean but I fantasize about it a lot.

I eh go lie, while I would back up my Trinidad in a heart beat, it is not the most "beautiful" for scenery and such. I would give Tobago the award. Lovely beaches, rugged mountains, waterfalls and rainforest. Flowers, birds, animals, fish. Paradise!

To me the best Caribbean destination is Jamaica.
I have been to Aruba, Costa Rica, Cancun, Bahamas
and a number of others. I loved them all.
But for me I all ways go back to Jamaica.
Also I am a Huge Jimmy Buffett Fan.

Now to the guy who said no to Jamaica because his friends didn't like it.
Do you let other make all your decisions?
Just because they didn't does not mean you would not.
As far as the other person who said go to Florida instead.
yes read the crime reports. Florida had to Hire Armed security Guards for the rest stops because People were being robbed and murdered when they would stop for a break from driving. the crime is no worse in the Islands then any place else.
No Matter where you are if you look like an easy target then you will get Stung

Try the island of Dominica (NOT the dominican republic.)Its beautiful beacause:
It is TRULY the most prestine of the caribbean countries as it is not commercialised ,and polluted. The country promotes Eco tourism and has 3 national parks one of them being a world heritage site.
More than 85 % is covered in natural rainforest which includes beautiful flora and fauna. It was branded the "Nature isle"
Has 365 rivers, countless, waterfalls- some being discovered ever so often.Breath taking freshwater lakes-all of these u can bathe in.
Most mountainous Caribben country-gies it a very rare landscape but yet still very breathtaking.
My words here cannot explain to you how beautiful the country is not even if i try So ileave you with these websites that will provide you with pictures and accomadation and also the hundreds of activities you can do wile in Dominica.and as for the people who say that the caribbbean is not all that-They are stereotyping and they are wrong if they went to the over commercialised countries that promotoe sun sand and sea.You have a choice to prove them wrong and do better.Welcome in advance to my country if u choose here.

Most of the islands are positively beautiful. But you mentioned a key point....MONEY.....most islands can be very expensive. However you may get the most for your money in Jamaica....head to Negril and you can get a nice little place to stay for cheap (cliffs are usually cheaper than beach) but don't expect AC, restaurants, room service or less than a few bugs......smoke a little, drink some margaritas, listen to Jimmy and then some reggae......and everyting will be irie mon.......have fun and enjoy the peace there

I will say Dominica...not DR...its a beautiful virtually unspoilt caribbean island that is not too expensive.

BY THE WAY: to the person who said the caribbean is unstable and a rip off I am sorry you had a bad experience (you must have to say that) but you cannot judge the entire chain of islands based on one or two...that is pure ignorance. I live in Florida and trust me its not all good all the time, bad things happen to tourists here too but I wont tell someone not to come here.

Cayman Islands by far. I have visited: Jamaica, the Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Antigua and St. Martin. The Caymans are expensive though but the beaches are by far the best.
