HAs anyone put Myers rum in a vanilla milkshake? Can you taste the rum?

Do you think someone that doesn't like the rum taste would taste it?

Absolutely! Rum is an excellent additive to a milkshake. The key however is to limit the rum and have an extra thick shake. The alcohol will tend to dilute the shake, so add extra crushed ice and if blending at home, semi-set (put it in the freezer for 15-20 min before use) the milk first as well. You can add more rum by adding something to mask the flavor such as oreos or other candy flavors.

The question should be who hasn't put rum in a milkshake, Slurpee, or smoothie? I will try anything concerning rum and probably have. It really is good and it depends on how much alcohol is used as to being able to taste it, if less is used no you probably wouldn't taste it, however a lot would be noticeable. I've never done it, but I'm sure it wouldnt be a bad idea. The only thing I would put rum in is pina coladas.

Yes. of course someone would notice it; especially if they do not like it. But I love rum, and would welcome it in a milkshake.

OH, YES, I'D KNOW IT WAS THERE SINCE I DON'T CARE FOR RUM. DOESN'T EVEN SOUND GOOD. BUT I KNOW DRINKERS WILL TRY ANYTHING. SO TRY IT.

No, but I have put Godiva white chocolate liqueur in it and it is fantastic!
