To make money or to help improve life are two possible reasons.

I reckon some people just don't like the thought of living a nromal life, getting a normal job, getting a normal pension, and dieing a normal death. I think some people genuinly feel that they have to make a mark, they have to be remembered. Through inventing an item you are placing your name in the history books, oyu've put an impression on the world that will last beyod your death. I think the main reason people invent things is for the knowledge that they will be honoured beyond the coming of the grave, and the thrill of doing something not yet done by another. Unique achievements!

To make the world a better place to live in. So that its easier to do everyday things. Because people always want more and better things. Thats what encourages inventions.

Necessity is the mother of invention. That means someone feels their is a need for something and then tries to invent something to fill the need.

They listen.

1st to other people who complain, complain and complain...but something unique happens inside of this special person....They think to themselves, is there anything I can do about this...
......That's how stores first got a customer service department!

2nd...They listen to the voice inside of them...sometimes they sit down and write...what they're thinking....what is it that's bugging them to solve...or resolve.

3rd...They listen to their spiritual growth.....Perhaps like Thomas Edison...who found thousands of things that did not work.
....but kept thinking....I have learned something...that does not work...so when it clicks...it will work....hence he invented the light bulb.

4. They take time to look in the mirror and smile...yes a big smile and laugh at themselves....They don't see things in black and white.....they see a room full of colors and possibilities. They know that it's only a matter of time until the inner growth comes up....sort of the "bubble up" philosophy. You can't keep air under water...it bubbles up to the top.

Keep thinking...and you will be at the top someday...and know...that some woman on yahoo...told me so...to believe in the most important person in the world. YOU!

To increase the efficiency and/or effectiveness of a task and make it easier for everyone. Many times inventions are accidents, like silly putty, bubble gum, chocolate chip cookies...the list goes on and on.
