If she likes the remote and the cell phone, try some other non-traditional toys as well. Maybe give her pots & pans to bang on.

My 17 month old has absolutely no interest in toys either. So we just don't buy them. She colors, dances and "sings" to music, and runs around in circles with no pattern or path that we can discern but she's having fun so I don't think it's that big of an issue that she doesn't like normal toys. She also has a ball wearing "big people" shoes and "calling" her Nan on my cell phone.

all kids at this age do the same thing.both of my boys would rather play with my keys or the box the toy came in before they wanted to play with the toy itself!!toys are a waste of money at this age.theyre just starting to be able to explore the world around them and the last thing they want is something that its ok if they have.they prefer dangerous and messy things that they have no bussiness messing with.its normal so dont worry.i would stop buying a ton of toys because kids grow out of toys just about as fast as they grow out of clothes at this age!!

My son was like that aswell .He only wanted things we used(cellphone , remote etc). His aunt bought him Alphabet Pal from Leapfrog. It sticks to the fridge and the child can insert the letters and it sings the alphabet song.My son played with it all the time, and by age two he knew every single letter .This toy is alot of fun and educational too.Best toy he ever got.

i think of it particularly is a sturdy decision. If those 2 days a week conceal the value of the daycare and you're mushy with the ambience there, then it particularly is large... he will have based time around different infants on a extensive-unfold foundation, and you will nonetheless be homestead with him maximum human beings of the time, besides as with the ability to get out somewhat and positioned across in some extra effective money. I desire i could discover something comparable for my sixteen month old!

My son was like that, still is, hes 6 now. Just find what interests them and keep trying new things. Maybe she is just to smart for baby toys. Give her lots of options, things with buttons to push, as that seems to be what she is interested in. No need to worry though, its normal.

both my kids are the same way. I think they just want the things you have and there is nothing wrong with that. Gave mine a old cell phone and old remote (so the don't break the ones we have) They grow out of it - and than they ask for the real ones (cell) and you pay out your butt!

ha ha, my daughter is the same way. she loves cell phones and car alarms and stuff like that--so--i went to a store and bought a play cell phone that looked real and a play car alarm at the dollar store and she actually plays with them. she also loves playing with pots and pans.

so quit buying stuff for her and let her be happy with what she likes. She's playing and being creative in her own way. Nothing like pressuring a kid and creating neurosis early...let the kid be a kid and be happy
