As you give no indication to the size of dog I would say Phone a Vet ASAP especially if its a not a large breed! A large dog will still get a bad case of the runs but it could cause serious problems in a young dog, puppy or smaller breed! Be prepared to stay with her or make sure you leave a lot of paper down! The oil will definately have a laxative effect!!
I hope it is OK
Advice> Never open capsules or pills near the dog! The chances of the dog getting to any dropped ones before you do are too high!!!

The thing to worry about with cod liver oil is vitamin A toxicity.I would call the closest emergency vet and ask them if 16 capsules is a dangerous dose.

I'm thinking she'll get the runs and needs to be outside for a gooood while until things are back to normal. Maybe dry food to help with absorption? Keep her hydrated though regardless. After that, call the vet. Also, try About.com--I'm sure there are a couple of guides and forums you can ask for help--Check for pets, pet care, dogs, vet care forums/guides. Good luck.

Call the vet immediately! I don't know what kind of harm if any the pills can do, but it is best to ask the experts for help with this situation. It depends on how much your dog weighs and stuff for the effect to be known of what it will be on your dog.

If it isw a large breed dog, I would put her out overnight. Make sure she has a war,m place to sleep. Otherwise you will have a BIG MESS to clean up in the morning. You should always keep all meds out of reach of children and pets.

Be prepared for the squits, take him out regular cos if he needs to 'go' then i'd assume he'd 'go' anywhere.
Also, give ur vet a call and querie this. It will prob do him no harm but best to be on the safe side.

She might do sixteen capsules is alot she might be sick or have a tummy upset my suggestion to you is to take her to the vet immediately straightaway and to tell the vet what has happened the vet might be able to pump her tummy out not a nice experience but the sooner its done the better but do it sooner other wise there might be consequences.
