Being a christian doesn't make you "greater" than anyone.
Stop believing you have to "overcome" anything, and just do the two things that Jesus himself proclaimed as "perfect religion"
1) Take care of widows and orphans
2) Love your neighbor as yourself.
I'm a Preachers Kid and it's elitist philosophies like what you're spouting that made me realize the church is for the weak, and leave.
