like there's nothing more to live then getting a girl friend or boyfriend. its not that great.

I'm not sure why, but if you are not already happy I don't want to be your gf! But I'm sure it is to boost their self esteem, but if you don't have self esteem to begin with how can you find a decent bf/gf.

I agree with you. But maybe because a lot of people doesn't get the attention in their family that they tend to get when they have a gf/bf. A family member cannot give you comfort and love that a bf/gf can give. People tend to cling to their gf/bf because they feel secure that they have someone caring for them, especially if they are having problems with they parents

You've got a valid pint...when we are single, we spend our precious time looking for love only to have more problems when we find it. But the question is...does being without that significant other make you happier? Doesn't it suck to have the special some one to make you fell loved, appreciated, wanted in more ways then one. Someone to be there, make you smile, know you just a well as you know yourself...I don't know.I'd prefer to be with someone.

I agree. And most of them don't even care WHAT sort of boyfriend/girlfriend they wind up with, as long as they just have one.

i don't think having one will make you happy, but i think that my b/f makes me happy cos i love him, you know? he lifts me up when i'm down... he makes me smile, makes me laugh, makes me feel alright and that's important cos i have bpd and i need someone like that...
having a b/g friend can't make you happy but love should...

b/c it gives them someone to talk to and it has a meaning unlike many other pastimes
cuddling is nice too =)
