I have used Sound Forge for awhle now and all of a sudden everytime I save a file, regardless of what I call it, the file name will always be "SP0000".

- I make a recording using sound forge.
- Save as: "Sound_1.wav"
-Filename is: "SP0000.wav"

I can change the name after I save it, but it's annoying to do everytime. It never used to do this? What happened? How do I fix it?

If I don't change the name (after I origionaly save) it will over-write the previous file if i save again with the same name - without asking me if I want to replace it.

that is the programs default way of saving the file, it is its way of not saving two files of the same name. What is does is it wants to save it as SP0000.wav so it first looks to see if any other file has the same name, if not it saves it. If there is another file with that name then is incriments the name to SP0001.wav and checks again, and so on. You can change it in the programs options, but it is not recommended.

i used to be Catholic, and no, they do in no way say that. To me and those I knew turning out to be up, that word replaced into basically utilized by making use of what we seen the non secular nuts who additionally danced around with snakes, babbled incoherently (spoke in tongues), and loudly, obnoxiously, praised Jesus at each turn. Now that i'm older and wiser, I evaluate the Catholics to be basically as nutty, yet in a diverse way ;-) easily, that may not actual, the Catholics evaluate faith greater a private undertaking and in many instances save it to themselves extremely of annoying others with their perspectives. it rather is rather cool.
