why would you boil a roast?
If you still want to boil it and waste it boil it until the fat comes out. drain the water then add your sauce.
I would do it in the oven as your pork boiled will be bad!

You can if you wish, but you will run the risk of caramelizing (or burning) the sugar in the BBQ sauce. Makes for a messy pot and sometimes a burnt flavor in the meat.
This is crockpot stuff! If you have one, it's the way to go.
On the stove, well, low heat, tasty spices (pepper, salt, onion, garlic, etc.) and let it go!
If you intend to "pull" the pork, you will be able to eliminate a LOT of fat, and add the Sauce then.. If you are going for the whole BBQ Roast-thing, Add the sauce for the last hour or so AFTER pouring off a lot of the fatty water it has been cooking in!
A short time in the oven to dry out and firm up wouldn't be a bad idea either!

10 Clove Stove Top Roast
Most Italian homes rarely have ovens so that leaves them roasting on the stove top. It's the perfect way to make a roast pork. Turning the meat is the hardest part!
4-6 servings 1½ hours 1 hour prep
2 lbs pork loin roast, at room temperature
fresh ground pepper
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 bay leaf
10 cloves garlic, peeled
sea salt

Rub the pork generously with freshly ground pepper, and place in a heavy bottomed pot large enough to hold the meat.
Drizzle the olive oil over the meat and turn the meat over to coat with the oil.
Add the bay leaf and garlic cloves and marinate for 20 minutes.
Remove the bay leaf.
Brown the meat over medium-high heat, turning to brown evenly.
This step will take about 20-25 minutes, depending on the size of the roast.
When the garlic begins to color remove it with a slotted spoon.
When the roast is well browned on all sides and ends return the browned garlic cloves to the pot, then add 4 cups of water to your pot, let cook for 2 - 2 1/2 hours on simer, with lid on. After it is done remove the pot from the heat, and keep coverd.
Let the meat rest for 15-30 minutes.
The internal temperature will be 165 degrees.
Season the pan juices with salt after meat has rested.
Cut the meat into thin slices, spinkle with salt, and serve with the garlic and pan juices.

try this one, the liquid smoke does the trick
1 (5-pound) pork butt roast
4 tablespoons House Seasoning, recipe follows
2 tablespoons seasoned salt
4 tablespoons liquid smoke, found in grocery store
1 medium onion, sliced
1 cup water
3 bay leaves
Barbeque sauce of choice, for serving
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Sprinkle 1 side of the roast with 2 tablespoons of the House Seasoning, making sure to rub well. Flip the roast over and rub the remaining 2 tablespoons of House Seasoning. Repeat the process with the seasoned salt and liquid smoke. Place the roast in a large roasting pan. Add the onion, water and bay leaves to the roast. Place in the oven and cook for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until thermometer reads 170 degrees F. Let meat cool for a few minutes and then slice.
Serve with your favorite barbeque sauce.
House Seasoning:
1 cup salt
1/4 cup black pepper
1/4 cup garlic powder

Just cook a pork roast in a crock pot until done - then shred or pull apart into the size of pieces you prefer. Add your favorite BBQ sauce and simmer.

no when you finish cooking to the pork then you will put it in the oven while it is there then you can put the bbq sauce you can also put the bbq after you get it out off the oven, have a good meal=D
