Do blood pressure and heart rate have an inverse relationsship (BP goes up as HR goes down) or do they have a similar relationship (BP goes up as HR goes up)?

Usually it is the inverse relationship. When people's BP drops their HR has to increase to compensate for the decrease in blood flow.

They tend to go up and down in unison.
