that makes about as much sense as an acorn eating a squirrel.

I think the better question should be: Should people this uninformed about life in general be allowed to live past the age of 7? I am really beginning to support mid-life abortions and you are the very first to go for asking such an ill-informed question.
Go back to whatever religious cult you're from and try again. I don't think anyone here honestly believes that you have the intelligence to carry on a conversation or be allowed ask questions ever again.
The best question here is: "should organized religion dictate how others live their lives?" Should we not allow Jews to have driver's licenses? Or maybe we should not allow African Americans to drive? How about Hispanics? How about freaks with only 9 toes?
Get a life and get off my computer monitor and most of all, get out of my BEDROOM!
I realize your point was to bring up something you disagree with, but if you look at the question you appear as a basher and therefore causing more problems.

Hey they are people too. You cant keep gays from getting a drivers license since that would be discrimination! Yes I do thing keeping them from getting married, sharing health insurance and having visiting rights is also discrimination too. I am not gay and am happily married by the way. All these laws that are passed to keep gays from getting married don't only hurt those that are gay it hurts those heterosexual couples that are not married as well. It denies them rights to their significant others rights while in the hospital. They aren't allowed visiting rights, having that shared health care and doesnt allow them to voice their boyfriend or girlfriends rights if they were unable to speak them if in a medical emergency. Think of this, you are straight, you are living with your significant other, not married, and you were in a car accident which put you into a coma and the doctors said that you would be in this state the rest of your life. You had brain damage and the machines were doing the breathing for you and were also pumping your blood for you. Wouldnt you want your significant other to state your wishes for you instead of the doctors? if you did or did not wish to be in this state, would you want him/her to let the doctors know this instead of the government? So, no, the gays should not be denied the right to have a drivers license. Would you want to be denied because of your sexuality? I think not!

Christians don't want to condemn gays to Hell. Being Christian is following the will of God, and (the) God (of Christianity) says homosexuality is wrong.
Marriage is considered to be a holy union blessed by God. Being gay is a sin. I think now you can see why it would be silly to have gay people married (in a Church).
What's wrong with civil unions?
And remember: he who is without sin shall cast the first stone. It's not our place to go around persecuting people.

Im a Christian and personally dont know why many christians want to prevent them from marrying. I dont see what it matters, if its a sin in Gods eyes for them to marry, then let Him deal with it. I think it's rediculous really... if someone believes homosexuality is a sin, then they do... cant change that but they dont prevent any other "sinners" from marrying. Are they trying to stop alcoholics from marrying? Or Muslims? Surely the same God doesnt want someone to be Muslim so why let them marry?
If you dont want someone else telling you who to spend your life with, dont tell others. As long as they are both willing and of legal age, its none of our business.

enable us attempt to have some semblance of relevance right here. it really is evidently obtrusive that sexual orientation has no longer something to do with the ability to pressure an motorcar. it really is both obtrusive that the classical theory of marriage is heterosexual. I truly haven't any objection to civil unions that may supply a gay couple an same criminal status as a heterosexual marriage, yet i do no longer favor to call this kind of ingredient "marriage", purely to stay away from corrupting the language.

Driving is a privledged not a right imo. If driving was a right then as soon as children learn to drive they would be driving because children have rights. I don't judge anyone no matter what their religion, creed, color or sexuality is. I love everyone as God commands me to love my neighbor as myself. I think God means by neighbor not only the person living down the road.

For a people who say they are willing to risk the lives of thousands to protect their freedoms and liberties, you american evangelists sure seem fanatic about stopping the freedoms and liberties of the people in your own country. Gay people should be allowed to sin and if it is a sin, then they can pay the price in the hereafter, there is no reason to play the judge in the worldly realm. didn't jesus say he has never sined cast the first stone?

I think a fair compromise would be to think of a new word for marriage that gay couples could use. Same thing, same benefits, different name. I'm sure there is some ancient greek term that can be used. In ancient greece, most men were gay.
