I come home from work one day and find a "gaziltaflange" sitting in my living room. I've never seen a "gaziltaflange" before. I don't know what it is, or what it's made of, or if it's alive or dead.

At first I'm nervous, but I start examining it anyway. Soon I find that whatever it is, it does absolutely amazing things. It has powers that seem impossible, but clearly are not. I begin to wonder if this thing was left here by someone, or maybe it came by itself. Maybe it grew here! The truth is, I just don't know.

After months of study, I still don't know where it came from, or how it got in my living room, but I've start to understand a lot more about how it works. I've even begun to figure out what it's made of. Finally, after many years, I know a great deal about how it works, and what it's made of, but still have no idea how it got in my living room!

Should I believe:

a) Aliens left it.
b) It came/grew/etc by itself.
c) Some super intelligent human made it.
d) God did it.

There is no reasoning in your question, I'm afraid, simply because
a) you have not come to a conclusion
b) explained how you have done so.

For a problem like this, you use a pribciple called "Occam's razor". If there is more than one posible explanation, go for the simple one unless you have strong evidence to the contrary. therefore, reason would lead you to option b)

The existence of the object isn't going to be answered by your story, since you didn't do any detective work as to how it got there, only what it DOES.

So, you could conclude almost anything, such as: someone snuck into your house and put it there, to mess with you.

None of them. Aliens would of came back and probed, there must of been a reason it grew, a genuis in your household? ask your children and better your spouse, God doesn't leave gaziltaflanges they cause to much trouble.

if its a animal/living breathing creature, people couldn't have created it. it didn't 'big bang' into your living room, i dont know if there are aliens but thats a possibility, and if their are aliens, God made them. so really, God made the thing (D).

I put it there so you would have something better to do than just ask stupid questions. But clearly it did not help.
