If I were to get down on my knees right know and pray to Zeus you would probably laugh, right? So why is it so much more proposterous to pray to Zeus than it is to God?

ah, because Zeus is a mythological god (small "g") and the Lord God is real. Jesus Christ was a real man, He rose from the dead, He ascended into heaven, He is alive today.....
pretty simple, really.

Zeus is a God so sure, but he would probably prefer some form of food offering over prayer.
