To be absent from this body is to be in the presence of the Lord.

Certainly, there are many beliefs, some based on science and others on faith. The way I see it...unless you've got some secret immortality cheat code...game over. The almighty Kansas said it best; All we are is dust in the wind. I suggest you make the most of the life you have, because if nature is any indicator of what happens next, you're due to become organic matter...a nurse log so to speak.

or

Goin' up to the Spirit in the sky
That's where I'm gonna go when I die
When I die and they lay me to rest,
I'm gonna go to the place that's the best

See you there!

I'm not really sure where you go. People say you go to heaven when you die, but how would they know. You have to die first and then you know what happens when you die. Maybe nothing happens when you die. I think that when you die you are born as another living thing ( another human being, insect, animal etc.), but you can't remember what you know in your previous lives. You have to start all over again.

People don't go anywhere. The body stays here to be re-cycled some way shape or form. The soul, it is believed moves on to another realm or dimension to its final goal. The spirit may stay as a ghost or go on with the soul. If the spirit stays it is because perhaps something is keeping it here, it is basically mindless without the soul to give it its purpose. But this is basically all theory on some one's part as no one actually knows. No one has ever come back to refute this explanation, yet.

When you're dead, it'll be just like it was when you weren't born yet. Some people think you'll go to heaven, but that's just because it scares them to think there will be nothing in the afterlife.
At the very least, we have no idea where we will go when we die, we can only guess, since no one has died and come back to life to tell us all about it.

Heaven or Hell.

"Unless you are born again you cannot see the Kingdom of God" -John 3:3

Born again by believing in what Jesus Christ did on the cross for you- that he died and rose again, so you could be set free from sin- to believe and repent of sin, follow Him. We have all sinned against God- Romans 3:23 says this. And the wages of sin is death -Romans 6:23 but there is a second death which is hell for those who never put their faith in Jesus Christ- see Revelation 20.

Those who are born again in Jesus Christ receive the kingdom of Heaven. Those who reject Him while on earth, will be cast into Hell or as it says "Lake of Fire" in Revelation. There is punishment for sin- God is holy and just- and He is sinless- and He made a way for us to be with Him- it is a free gift out of His grace- nothing you do can get you to heaven but by believing in the grace of God and what Jesus did for you- see Ephesians 2:8

So what is your choice? If someone offered you a parachute while the plane was going down ( and yes you are on that plane) would you take it? Knowing if you don't you will fall to your death?

We are all energy. Energy that can pass through space and time and, any and all dimensions. When we die the energy goes out; out to somewhere else. Out to some other time, place or space. Knowing that my energy (my life force) is eternal takes away all my fear of dying OR living. The thought gives me peace.

Eccl. 9:5: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.”

Until Judgement day, then god has the say...

Hope that helps :)

When you die, your body is either burned, buried, etc. depending on what you have requested. As for your soul, there is much debate about where it goes but no one knows for sure. Different people with different beliefs will give you different answers.

I think that when you die its just like a deep sleep...without a dream. Then when Jesus arrives he will judge the dead and alive.
