I seem to recall that there was a Proper Name for that traffic circle.Waddya say?

You are right, it's called "La Place de L'Etoile"...well, the real name is "la place Charles de Gaulle" (since his death). It used to be a strategic hunting place 500 years ago....

If you mean in the middle of the Champs-Elysées, then it would be the "Rond-Point des Champs Elysées". The Place de l'Etoile is at one end of the Champs Elysées and there are more than 7 roads (avenues) that feed into it.

It's generally referred to as "l'Etoile" ("the star", since there are so many roads leading into it.
