Ok, my best friend is a guy. We've known each other forever and naturally, I guess I fell in love with him. So I've liked him for a while now, and we're always flirting and everything. We're always together... we wait for each other at lunch... walk each other to almost every class... i even wait for him after school. In class, he's always sitting behind me playing with my hair or poking me in the side and making me giggle and squirm... little things like that. Every once in a while, someone will stop us in the hallway and ask us if we're together. We just look at each other awkardly and say no. But we never talk about it afterward. I think he secretly likes me too, but he won't do anything about it. I think he has a few insecurities and he's scared. Besides the insecurities, he also dated another one of his female friends a few years ago. It didn't work out. I think he's scared that it won't work out this time. I love the guy and everything about him. Now what do I do? <3

But how do I convince him that I'm the one without flat out tellin him? Or asking him how he feels about me?

I DO love just hanging out with him, but I want to be able to just kiss him at the spur of the moment and I just want to hear him tell me he feels the same way.

He's just a little hesitant, and needs you to bring up the issue.
Try this: ask him--if we just met, do you think we could end up dating? (he'll say 'yes') then ask: do you think we could end up dating now ?
In other words, think up a way to bring up the subject and get him talking about it. You'll learn a lot, without jeopardizing the relationship.

Sweet-- I love this--the one thing that makes a lasting relationship last is that they have first discovered they were the best of friends --Its a solid foundation --so do this get thru school remain best friends because as for being serious now?? just might not allow you each to grow as individuals so you can then become strong as a couple and that's knowing who you are and where you are going in life --the reason his last girl and he didn't last wasn't a huge mystery--how many people do you know that dates thru school and goes and marries and lives happy ever after?? That's right next to none---So dating is well what hanging out with someone you like right?? so without making you and he an item you are hanging out having fun being together Just ENJOY

Tell him how you feel. You might be surprised at his answer. If he rejects you as a "steady" then move on to other love interests, but dont stop being his friend. Sometimes boys who has a girl as a very close friend, considers them more like a sister. It happend to me.

Ask him how he really feels about you, hopefully you will hear what you need to hear to move forward, if your not sure, just mention it. Guys handle hearing stuff like that better than women do anyways. I'm sure if he does not he will tell you and you can still be friends.

Go with that feeling, convince him that you are the kinda girl that needs this more than he does, and tell him to quit being so selfish.
