Air from a vent may very well turn on a touch lamp I think they sense a thermal change when you put a finger on the lamp it is at around 98.6 deg F and the lamp surface is probably around 60 deg F. If the heater comes on and a current of warm air probably around 90 - 100 deg F comes out of the vent then the lamp may sense the difference in temp and come on. OR Maybe you have a ghost living at your house...

A touch lamp operates by sensing the capacitance change when a person touches the metal base of the lamp. Air will not normally cause a capacitance change, but the air flow could cause a static charge build up. This static charge could trigger the sensor.

something to do with electro statics i imagine each body has some static, and your watch, being metallic might want to have picked some up at the same time as you've been wearing it. Plastic or timber do no longer paintings as they don't seem conductive resources.
