I (a Buddhist) have been noticing how often on the telivision they discuss lies, and impossible things from the Bible, Children are our future, and it seems %88.9 of children arent Christian! Will our Future be without Christianity? Are we in for a world without this religion? Or will people think that Saten sent people like me?

Christianity over? Christianity wasn't anything to begin with except for a bunch of lies fueled by the biggest load of propaganda ever written...the bible

Every religion has it's periods and cycles. I think Christianity might have been nearing the end of it's age for a long time. Maybe it will go under for awhile, then survive to recycle again? Who can tell...

I see you are a Buddhist. That is a good religion, you are able to see the truth in other religions with that. There is great similarity between Christianity and Buddhism.

Just wish Christianity would not always be judged on the people who practice it! That is like judging the whole universe by just what you can see with the unaided eye!

The problem for me as a Christian is Darwinism. This unproven and dogmatic theory has ensured that generations of children have doubted the authority of the Bible and so abandoned the Church and also our Lord.
The Bible says in 2 Peter 3 that at the end the scoffers will come, with evil desires and a false god. This is precisely what has happened, and this was predicted 2000 years ago!

Interesting! An American Buddhist who is concerned for Christian children, and has notions of `Satan`. Children may be our future, but they most certainly are not a commodity to be used for indoctrination by mumbo-jumbo men. Christianity will of course fade away eventually, as with all belief systems they have a finite lifespan , followed by decline, then extinction . Druids, Romans, Egyptians, Greeks, all gone - and their "divine truths" too.

Children will grow into Christians as long as there are people to show them how to be Christians. However, it is likely that when Christianity become inaccessible by the young, the young will disconnect. I don't see that happening, because the young who don't turn to atheism, turn to theism. And if it isn't Christianity, it's something else.

Wow, you chose a good question to ask, through the half the responses just seen to be boisterous brits just stating (or screaming) their opinions. The the critics nor proponents for christianity seem very appealing for me to side with right now so I'll try to take a neutral stance and actually answer question instead of attacking my fellow responders. Even if you think the bible, (or chirstianity in general) is a pack of lies, which if you do your forgetting your own Buddhist beliefs, (As a Buddhist you should respect other religions so long as they stand peace and love at least that what I understand from my Buddhist friends) just remember our ancestors were christians and the least I can do for them instead of waking up every morning thinking how stupid they were (which may happen on occasion) is to at try to respect their belief system. Restating your question, your asking if religious extremism will return to Britain or if atheism will finally triumphant, correct? I'll tackle the easier question first. No, religious extremism will never (at least in a christian form) reoccur for a simple reason. Western Europe has never gone such an era of prosperity in it's existence, meaning the average woman or man has money. Money and faith rarely seem to go together, take my cousins for example. They left my church and when I asked them why they responded by saying "because now we can be rich." Currently, they live in a house which is the size of my church, (honestly). (And if you came to conclusion my church is small, bravo good chap.) Also, I am not sure what christians your listening to (probably not very good ones) on the tele, but I have never once in my life ever heard any priest from my church critize another religion, not one word. So, my priest doesn't wave around the bible until he's red in the face screaming about heretics every sunday and I'm not foaming at the mouth and sharpening my sword. We spend most of our time asking for forgiveness and praying for others, including those who are not of our religion actually. To answer the second question, no, atheism will never completely destroy religion because faith, like ideas, is bullet-proof. However I would be blind if I didn't sadly acknowledge christendom is a house falling in on itself, destroyed by the rotting faith of us Europeans and now weaken beams still struggle to stand as the fires of Islam lick at the framework. (Nothing personal against Islam). And from just this brief sample here, most brits would like to put a torch instead of save the house of christ which their ancestors built it would seem. (sighs) Well, God gave free will to man, and if the once strong pillars chose to crumble,.... at least one small pillar will try to stand true. And as a final personal note, :), I am devout christian because I am a loyal son of the British Empire and part of loyalty to my country means I feel I should serve the religion which helped shape and mold it. I respectfully hope I haven’t wasted my time typing this to you good sir and I'm sorry I wrote so much, because I still need to finish my pre-cal, chem, hw and study for a historiography test. P.S. I believe in evolution, in case you were wondering and for those of you now saying "well what about Adam and Eve in the Bible?" I believe they were metaphoric, Jesus a.k.a God uses a lot of analogies so it's logical God would too in the Old testament. And for those of you who don't know what metaphoric means...... I now type words which all your ancestors would know but now you, their descendents, have forgotten, to response to your ignorance, Kyrie Eleison.

You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church

13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?"
14 And they said, "Some say John the Baptist, but others Elijah, and still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"
16 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."
17 And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father in heaven.
18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
20 Then he sternly ordered the disciples not to tell anyone that he
was the Messiah.
"and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it."

88.9%? Are you referring to American children? Canadian? English? Worldwide? Where did you get this statistic?

Anyway, Christianity is still top dog as far as religions go. Even if it's eventually beaten by another in popularity, I doubt it'll die out anytime in the next several thousand years.

i will separate the types for you particularly then each and each of diverse denominations, of whom, there are a lot. you have the Fundamentalists and you have the moderates. Fundamentalists are certainly a set who have faith that bible is entire certainty and could't be metaphoric or somewhat misguided and the moderates settle for that it may desire to have some blurring of what happened and that there is probable a good number of metaphoric fee expressed interior the writings. . .i think of you could wager which group I belong to.
