Gene Krupa was in the post-WWII, Big Band era of the 1950s... and this ought to be in the Music category maybe? Try RKO Records or its ilk.

I'm pretty sure you are referring to Gene Krupa. If you are, I've found some information for you. Krupa was a big band drummer who died in 1973.

As a drummer, I have heard this name from the 50's. But this is a religious section, not music. They may know the answer in that room...
