I have removed windows 2003 from my cpu and I thought I had a backup put my disk is blank but I have a valid activation key. Where can I get win xp pro from. I have look on the website but I still can't find a download

The license is not tied to the CD. You are free to install it as long as the license is valid and you have the certifcate (Sticker). Any CD will do, well nearly, if the license is OEM, then it can't be transfered as it should have been supplied with the PC it came on. If you purchased it then all should be OK. So if you bought the original xp pro lecense, then get non oem, non corporate, non manufacturers xp pro cd and the install should work.

That activation key is valid only with the windows xp cd that came with it... If you change it you'll need another license! You won't find anywhere on the net windows xp for download... (that means legally).

you cant..go to a local flea mkt...and the techie will probably hook you up.
