They left out that bit of the bible when they all got together for a sleepover to decide which fairy-tales to leave in.
All those negative thumbs down you've received and bit chy comments.... not very forgiving or Christian, is it.
Typical hypocritical fucwits

I'm a Christian and I would argue that we ALL suffer from a form of mental illness- life itself.
The ancient Greek philosophers such as Aristotle and Plato argue that our senses deceive us, and that the world around us is but an illusion. We are mentally ill in that we cling to this delusion, believing it to be true. We are only sane when we abandon earthly problems and look to the metaphysical being beyond the world.
But as a Christian, I'm perfectly sane (or at least I think I am). Christians have been satirised and mocked for too long, and many of those who mock Christianity as a religion know little about it. Christianity, and religion in general, is mindblowingly powerful and lifechanging. For me Christianity has brought me true peace for the first time in my life, knowing Jesus shall not abandon me, that there shall be an answer to my prayers, no matter how long it takes. I don't call people infidels or say they'll go to hell, I don't use the Bible to discriminate against people or think myself better than others.
If that is insanity, then I'm proud to be insane!

Some of us the world considers insane are quite okay with it. My insanity makes me great as I would simply be mediocre without it. It's like redbull, it gives me wings, no really. And the medication they give me doesn't do anythign at all, even though there are 3 different ones. If you really stopped to think about it you would probably be afraid of us...you have seen or at least heard of an evil genius. That would be me. Only I am not evil, simply disturbed.

Insanity is a health problem. I have no problem with that. Only a wish for the person to get well.
Demonic possession is another matter. I'll be round shortly with two large Jesuits, and some equipment we haven't used since the second Vatican Council. Now this won't hurt a bit - it will hurt a lot.

Hi Vlad ! You have set the cat among the pigeons again ! I don`t have a problem with insanity, but then I am not a Christian as you possibly know. I wish you would stop `getting their backs up` saying things like that. It`s not nice, so stop it !!

In every sort of group or clan there will be people who have 'problems' with a particular subject and thus make it an enemy. But thats the nature of the human animal - it has to have an enemy (we are predators and territorial in our true animal state).
As we get more and more rules and regulations preventing the animal feeling from being displayed (for instance anti racist laws, anti sexist laws, anti disability discrimination laws) then the human animal searches for other 'enemies' to continue to satisfy our true behaviour.

I've read some of the replies given by christians on this forum and some of them do come across as abit barmy. I have my own set of beliefs about the whole 'God' thing but some people can't answer a question without quoting some obscure text from the Bible which really annoys me because the text they quote usually never even makes any sense!

As a matter of fact I am familiar with it, and my familiarity is due to the fact that I have I have seen people who suffer from it healed by God's grace and mercy. Insults do not suffice when you are obviously trying to sway public opinion on Christianity. God Bless you...
