cut out extra snacks, such as sodas and sweets. try to cut at least 100 calories a day and get at least 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week. you can increase that the more your body gets used to it.

Weight Loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise...give or take a few percentage points. If you eat whatever you want, and exercise a ton, thinking it's going to give you the body you want, it won't. Trust me, I've tried. Diet is the MOST important when you're trying to drop weight.

Center your diet around: Whole Grains (100% whole wheat bread, tortillas, etc.), colorful fruits and veggies (eat the rainbow), lean sources of proteins (eggs, poultry, lean beef), and healthy fats (nuts, olive oil, avocados, etc.). Avoid white foods like the plague: white flour, white sugar, white potatoes (have a sweet potato instead, more vitamins!), etc.

Also, be aware of how your food is cooked. Was there butter added? Was it fried? Is there added MSG or salt? You might be a pain when you go out to eat, but hey, it's your money!

Diet comes down to calories in vs. calories out. It's that simple. That being said...eating small meals throughout the day keeps you from feeling deprived and you are less likely to get hungry and go on a binge.

Without getting too technical, blood sugar has a lot to do with it. When you haven't eaten anything for a long time (or you've eaten something with a lot of simple sugars) your blood sugar tends to spike, then drop. When it drops, you feel ravenously hungry and are more likely to eat whatever you can get your hands on. Eating continually throughout the day (especially when you include protein in each of your small meals) helps combat hunger and you're more likely to choose better foods to eat. Plus, if a donut is staring you in the face, you know your next meal is only an hour or two away!

Please don't think I'm discounting the importance of exercise. It will help you feel strong and more confidence, not to mention speed and retain your weight loss. Get moving! Make sure to get your heart rate up! And if you find something that you can enjoy, the better! Try step aerobics, a new sport, get out and play soccer with the kids. Schedule it into your schedule like a doctors appointment and DON'T MISS IT!

Shoot for 1-2 pounds a week. You can definatley drop some pounds by May! But get started...the sooner, the better!

Hopefully this helps.

Exercise, hardwork and determination. Set a goal for yourself, but make sure it is a realistic acheviable goal.
Lower your junkfood intake, and eat healthier. I lost nearly 10 pounds in a month just by eliminating soda from my diet, I also no longer get nasty cafeen headaches.

Do not take shortcuts, like miracle fat burning diet pills, or starving yourself, they will only hurt your body.

diet and exercise. the Weight Watchers point system actually works. Don't set an exact goal for yourself, work week by week. 2 lbs a week is a healthy amount of weight to lose, so take it from week to week, it will get harder as you loose more weight, but dont get discouraged, every week is another chance.

ok you need to work your butt off both in the gym and out if you really want to lose it just keep working at it some people say good things come to those who wait well i say why wait because you will be wasteing time when you can go and acheve it your self and you'll have a greater sence of achevement because you know you worked at it and gave it your all and eventualy it came!
Also its not a bad idea to get a personal trainer if you can afford it!
Good Luck!
