It seems like everyone and their brother is a certified personal trainer these days, so is it even worth trying to break into this field?

It really depends on what you want. I definitely feel that there is room for more personal trainers. There was a recent article talking about how there are some bullshit *** certifications out there that people can get and do all the work at home. If you think I'm a mad man there's reason for it.

This is a great field to be in. If you truly care about people and want to help them smile again, this business, this field can do just that. But are you passionate about it? Are you willing to do research and learn all that needs to be learned to get there.

I definitely feel it's worth getting a certification and then working at a health club to get some experience and then moving on from there. You can feel fee to drop me a note and I'll tell you more about it. I like helping up and coming trainers achieve success.

Yes personal trainers are worth it they know how to get under your skin and push you a whole lot more than how you would push your self while working out... Plus another positive thing about having a personal trainer is whatever you want to tune up your stomach in this case they know what actions they need to take in order for you to accomplish that goal. It is def worth your money and also some workout places have a trainer that you can get a little bit cheaper but usually in order to do that you not only have to work out there but you also might have to apply for a membership

The personal training industry is experiencing an enormous surge in demand. As more people become aware of what personal training can offer them (its not just for rich celebrities), the demand for personal trainers grows. In fact, the personal trainer job outlook has never been better.

The U.S. Department of Labor is forecasting a 50% growth rate for the industry through the next decade. That's a lot of demand! Many trainers are getting hired immediately on becoming certified and I have even heard of some cases where candidates are "pre-hired" in anticipation of achieving their certification.

My friend did that...he doesnt work as a trainer...it might be good for your own health if you like to train, at least you wont have to ask anyone what you should be doing though, that is if the class is cheap and not too time consuming...

If you want to make the effort to market yourself, it sure can be. From everything I've seen, those that seek out work, get it. For example, you give free workshops to the public and pass out your cards. You hook up with massage therapists, naturopaths, accupuncturists, doctors, etc., who can spread your name.

How motivated are you?
