OK, so there is this kid I like and he's very sweet. He stays after school and I've been there a few times when he has. I wrote him a letter a few days ago and told him I thought he was sweet and maybe we could hang out sometime and left my number. He saw me like usual, on the way to lunch and he seemed busy and said he would "talk to me later" so, I thought O.K. maybe he'd call. He didn't and today I got the nerve to go up to him and asked him if the note freaked him out and he said no and that he'd like to hang out and gave me his number. He was after school today and he was working on the computer, I kind of striked up a conversation, and then asked him if he'd like to catch a movie this weekend and he said "if he wasn't doing anything else" and he'd let me know. He seems shy and I am too? I don't really know how to strike up a conversation? What if we do end up going to the movies this weekend- I'll be so nervous. Any conversation starters??

Talk about things you have in common. Teachers, classes, homework. A movie is a good idea because the conversation comes later. Don't rush into anything though. Friendship can be the most important lasting relationship; whether your interested in more than just friendship or not.

Lots of people can be shy, especially if it's the first date sort of thing.
I'd say for a conversation starter, just ask him some stuff about himself. Take an interest in his interests or whatever he tells you.
Be yourself about it though, don't be a totally different person. Because if you act like a different person, he might like the way you act then, rather then the real you.
Just try and get over your shyness, it's not that hard if you really want to.

well this is simple. you guys are both shy. the best way would to go in a group. you could maybe talk about his intrests. it may seem weird but this has always been a good conversation start, the transformers movie from the 80's. if thats not good talking about things you used to do as a kid are great, also you could use innuendos, using sexual innuendos will make him pay more attention to you.

first compliment him on something.
then ask where he got it.
be like oh i love that store or ohh i never shopped there.
dont make yourself seem too easy.
dont introduce any of your cute friends to him.
talk about music and other movies you like.
but movies are pretty non talkitive.
if its sad and u wanna cry. do it!!
if he rly cares bout u helll love u haveing a soft sidee!!
and make the first moveee!!
