Don't eat sugar before an exam. Have a high protein meal. Chew sugar free gum. Ride your bike or go for a run before class. Go to Dr. Phill's site. They might still have some suggestions up for this.

He has test anxiety. Many people feel that before an exam. He needs to study well ahead of the test and learn some tricks to taking exams better. Here are some ideas:

Never cram, it does you no good. Learn to study well in advance. Don't memorize but apply what you learn to your life in some way or see how things are interrelated. Look at the answers, cross out whatever seems the most wrong and go back to pick out what looks most logical. When in doubt, guess, you could get some answers right by an intelligent guess.

When you know the subject, you feel more confident. Also, eat a good breakfast or lunch to give your brain some food. Not too much coffee, maybe just a little, can keep you alert.

Do some deep breathing,envision acing test,laugh,pee before sitting done for test,meditate

bach flower remedies are really good. there is one called rescue remedy which really helps. tell him to be careful though because some things for anxiety can you make u feel really sleepy and dopey and can stop you from doing as well
