My boot disk is a basic, non-mirrored disk. Is it possible to convert it to a dynamic disk(without dataloss, or inoperability of the OS)? I get a message

"after you convert these disks to dynamic, you will not be able to start other installed operating systems from any volume on these disks"

Also, can i add a mirror afterwards with another dynamic disk ? (of the same size)

Thanx !

You NEED to set up the "mirroring" BEFORE using the system, if you want it to work correctly; (like during or immediately after install, depending on the options given in YOUR version of 2003 server; My version allowed set up DURING the install)

If you have multiple drives, RAID is a better solution if your MB supports this configuration, AND the server MUST be up; otherwise I would just use "automatic" scheduled backup of the system to an additional drive used ONLY for this purpose.
