I think so, and not just because you were born here gives you the exclusive right to prosper in this country, I am not saying open the gates but you need to stop your "mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine attitud against all immigrants and I know what you are going to say "is only against illegals"....BS and you know it. Most and I say most anti-illegals are anti Hispanics and at least have the guts to admit it and then you can deal with it. I respect more those haters that at least they have the guts to admit it, then those hypocrits that hide behing the immigration law.. There.

AMERICA IS A GREAT COUNTRY,...BUT NOT THE GREATEST.
A large majority of Americans dont have Health Care. Without it, you are sunk into poverty or limited care. Nothing great about that.
After Katrina, America still has done NOTHING to remedy the problem or have the guts to admit they have no intention of rebuilding New Orleans. They are the forgotton. You could be next. Nothing great about that.
America is only great if you catch the American Dream and don't wake up. There has been sparse help from some well to do Americans and those few compassionate people that have helped out but it seems to have gone on the forget it list. I like Americans, I just dont like how they keep their house. Seems its out of order. Nothing great about that. Oh, and I havent even mentioned the Irag War. Also, not so great. Guess u have some cleaning to do before your an example of the Greatest. Dont feel to bad, I still could not name the Greatest Country in the World, we all have a lot of work to do.

Even if we are against all immigration, as you propose, why shouldn't we be "mine mine mine mine"? We worked and fought for what we've got. Yes, it was taken from the Native American/American Indian (whatever's politically correct anymore). Yes we did kick the Mexicans out of the border states before they were states. However, that was over a hundred years ago. We are here and now. So, either take it from us, or do it legally.
As a side note: My neighbor is a Mexican who is here legally. He complains about the illegals, too. You know why? Because he had to fight to be one of the ones chosen for this country. He had to learn English like the rest of us. And he has had to pay for the welfare we're forced to give illegals when they visit our hospitals or are hurt or killed when illegally working on our land.
When we catch illegals here, we send them back to Mexico. Kindly tell me what would happen if we were to sneak into Mexico. Ever here the phrase, "rot in jail"? So again, why shouldn't we be "mine, mine, mine"? Everyone else is.

I agree with you but we seem to be very much in the minority here on Yahoo answers! I am particularly bothered by what seems to be an attitude of "sweep our streets, pick our crops, wash our windows, watch our children, oh and if you need anything, GO TO HELL!". I would also like somebody to give me a GOOD reason why a child who was taken here when 5, 3, less than a year old should NOT be granted amnesty.
I do have to say that anyone who commits a serious crime SHOULD be deported and that the answer to Mexico's (and other countries) economic problems is NOT send everyone here.

first of all we always say it wrong, this is the United States of America, not America, America is made out of many countries. We think we are so great that even believe we own Canada, Mexico and South America. I am not anti-illegals, but I think the problem would stop if employers didn't pay to them, you can see all these companies always hiring illegals, so they wouldn't spend money on taxes, insurance, and of course, save a lot in salaries, increasing their profit big time.
Also, to those ignorants who think we are the best, go out a little bit, you can't really tell until you spend some time out of here, I've seen Denmark, Switzerland, Australia and some others that are just greater in many ways.

Diablito, 99% of the anti's are white peole.The other 1% are Mexican-Americans who think they are better than Mexicans.Mainly because they have gotten educated.Education is not being smart.It means a person had the opportunity to get one.I am Mexican-American and living proof.
