I would if I started the account while we were a couple, but if I started it before I met her probably not.

I would never give it away if they ask me!! what kind of question is that? ITS YOUR PRIVACY! Shes your girlfriend/boyfriend, not your wife/husband. She/He could be gone tomorrow and then start screwing with your account.

Absolutely not! I dont care if they are my significant other. Its my privacy. I have absolutely nothing to hide, but I dont want to be suspiciously stalked on my own email account and emails misinterpreted for whatever reason. I only gave my password away one time to my BF and that was strictly to delete incoming spam in my inbox when I was grounded from the internet for a month. I gave that to him because we have been dating for quite a while and I knew he wouldnt abuse the priviledge. But I never gave any other passwords out and I didnt expect him to give me his either. Even though he did at one point for whatever reason.

Dont give your passwords away to ANYONE!! NO ONE!!!

I gave all of my passwords even credit information to a boyfriend, He didn’t care at the time, and now he is an ex, I guess because he didnt care.
But, I have no secretes. I don’t have anything to hide.
Its not for the significant other either, it is for my own conscious, living with a clean consious is a great way to live.

No, I wouldn't and I would be annoyed that he had the nerve to ask! Two people can be very close, but they are not one and each needs his or her private space. I would never ask for his and I wouldn't read his email if given the chance. Also, I don't think my friends would appreciate it if they thought he could read their emails to me. Boundaries are important in any relationship.

No. I wouldn't, not necessarily because I have anything to hide but b/c there are many personal emails between my best friend and I and other emails from my past relationships....

No, I wouldn't give it to them.

There is this little thing call "privacy" which should be respected, no matter your relationship status.

Giving him/her your password will only create problems. They'll jump to conclusions and interrogate you on their findings.

All around BAD idea!
