All I Know is About The Code Is That It Says "UNABLE TO BLEED FUEL TANK PUMP"/ I've Taken The Van To MAny Mechanics But They Can't Exaclty Find Out What The Problem Is.
I Am Really Desperate To Fix My Van Because I Need For Work And My Family Loves It.
The Code Again Is (((P1450))) On A '98 Ford Winstar 3.8
"UNABLE TO BLEED FUEL TANK PUMP""
Is It The GAS PUMP???
Or Any Other Piece
Any Help Will Really Be Apreciate It. Thanks

p1450 is an evap code. check for clogged evap canister or leak in the system.

Seller is correct but is kind of technical about it.

Due to emissions, the gas fumes from the gas tank have to sucked up and burned by the motor. The system has checks and balances if you will.. The problem is the system is pulling the fumes from the tank... but needs air to due it's job and the system is not getting it (think of it like a bag that you suck all the air out of... that's vacuum and that is what the system can't get rid of.

But the problems listed by seller are correct with usually the canister vent valve (the valve that allows and shuts off air) being bad but usually I find dirt or other stuff in the canister (the fumes are stored in a canister also)

A mechanic shop that specializes in check engine lights or the dealer would be the best bet as most independents don't keep the equipment needed to diagnose that code.

Here's the Ford explanation of that code:

P1450 - Unable to Bleed Up Fuel Tank Vacuum
Description: Monitors the fuel vapor vacuum and pressure in the fuel tank. System failure occurs when the evaporative emission (EVAP) running loss monitor detects excessive fuel tank vacuum with the engine running, but not at idle.
Possible Causes:

* Blockages or kinks in the EVAP canister tube or EVAP canister purge outlet tube between the fuel tank, the EVAP canister purge valve and the EVAP canister
* Fuel filler cap stuck closed, preventing vacuum relief
* Contaminated fuel vapor elbow on the EVAP canister
* Restricted EVAP canister
* CV solenoid stuck partially or fully open
* Plugged CV solenoid filter
* EVAP canister purge valve stuck open
* VREF circuit open in the harness near the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor, the FTP sensor or the powertrain control module (PCM)
* Damaged FTP sensor

Diagnostic Aids: Visually inspect the EVAP canister inlet port, CV solenoid filter, and canister vent hose assembly for contamination or debris.
Check EVAP canister purge valve for vacuum leak.

----------------

Translation: too much vacuum in fuel evaporative emissions system, when your car is running. The things to check are listed above, but it would seem likely that your gas cap is defective.

You could check this by running the car with the gas cap off -- not emissions legal but it would tell you if that is the problem, if the code goes away. (Note that you have to have the code cleared before you test, because the "check engine" light will remain on once this problem is detected, and so you can't tell if you've fixed the problem unless the code is cleared, which turns off the light.)

Or, give this info to the mechanic and maybe he can figure it out.

Anyway, not sure where you got the code explanation because all 3 of my Ford doc sources are consistent that this is an "excessive vaccuum in the evap system" problem.

There are a few emissions related things that can cause this issue. There is an excessive fuel tank vacuum issue somewhere. Here are some of the causes of this code:
Your fuel fillter cap could be stuck closed causing no vaccuum relief.
The evap canister outlet tube could be blocked and/or kinked.
The evap canister purge valve might be stuck in the open position or you can have a damaged FTP sensor
Have a qualified technician remove any contamination that might be around the fuel vapor hoses or tubes as well as the evap canister-CV solenoid assembly. Have them remove any kinks or bends that might be in the evap canister purge outlet tube. Have them check to see if there are any kinks or bends in the evap canister tube and/or the canister vent hose assembly.
I hope this solves your problem...

ok if this is the correct , this code deals with evap system.
will recommend that you take it to a mechanic that has the abilty to open and closed the vapor managment valve and vent valve you will need to look at fuel tank pressure to find out what vale is not doing there job if both valves work you may want to look at fuel tank pressure sensor. make sure that the mechanic you take it to has experience dealing with evap systems. may even want to take it to the ford dealer. this equipment is very specialized. FYI THE CODE
Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0446 or P1450 indicates that Self-Test has detected THE Evaporative Emission Control System has excessive fuel tank vacuum.

i will agree with seller answer i just check with the ford workshop manual and that answer is correct you should have a ford dealer or emission shop check it out before you change needless part that will cost you more then having a certified tech check it for you i have never seen the fuel pump cause that code maybe could be the evap canister purge solenoid stays open but have it check
