I live in Northern Alberta...and if you don't know how cold it is up here...try -31 lately and tons of snow. So exercising two wild **** dogs is really difficult. Does anyone have some creative ideas to help wear out the terrible two?
Thanks =)

I actually have a dog treadmill. But only one dog willl even go on it, the other won't even step a paw on it. One dog is an apbt and a apbt mix. And yes they do wrestle. I just wish I could provide them with some other options. Plus I like interacting with them! =)

If you have a treadmill let them run on that lol. Uhm, you could teach them/practice with them some tricks.

My suggesstion still requires you go outside, however it will shorten the length of time you need to be out!
There are backpacks available for dogs. Cesar Milan suggests putting a bottle (or two depending on the size and strenth of your dog) in the backpack to intensify the walking workout. This will use more of your dogs energy, while keeping your walks short.
Thinking of you here in Toronto...heh...it was 16 here yesterday!

I play hide and seek with my dog!! He loves it and it really wears him out!! Just throw a toy in a certain direction, you run the other way and hide before they have the toy, it can be as simple as in a closet or bathroom, behind your table, whatever!! Watch the madness follow as they search you out and then race to get the ball again!!!!

well first off do they ruff house with each other? do they run off? if so then put them in a gated area where they have room rome and with stuff to keep them entertained, and then if that doesnt work out ask someone else. p.s. i am not sure if dogs can stand that cold of weather either.

Will you let them play freely in your house? If so, and you have enough room, you might try a rubber treat bone that you can put treats in each end (Kong makes them) and let them play tug of war. If not, try a knot rope. Another alternative is to play with them until you wear them out, chasing them around, and letting them chase you. I have 2 Jack Russels, and this is what I do to wear them out

Depends upon the breed you have - my terrier (with short hair) hates the cold, but the golden retriever and goldendoodle LOVE it!
