What right does a father have to a child out of wedlock when the mother doesn't want him involved. Canadians only please

The father has a right to be involved. If the mother tries to deny him involvement, the father can go to court to ensure that his rights are upheld. The onus would be on the mother to prove that there is a reason why the father's parental rights should not be upheld. Well, for the most part, A father has as much right to the child as the mother. Each province may differ abit but, if he choses, He can seek custody, visitation rights, child support ( if he gains custody),etc.

he can go thought the courts but thats all if she does not want him but he can get visiting right but will end up paying her so much a month may have to have dna testing done on him and child both to prove he is the father.
