I know that one night stands take place between two consenting adults but is it possible for a man to truly respect a woman that he meets in a club, buys a few drinks and is able to take her home at 4 in the morning, and screw her. Other than for sexual purposes is it likely that he'll be calling her anytime soon or would he pretty much not be interested into pursuing anything more with her than just sex?

One night stands are usually just about nothing more than sex. If a man (or woman) in a club isn't after anything more than that in the first place, then it's not really disrespectful if he (or she) doesn't call the other person back. That's why the terms should be discussed BEFORE you get in bed with someone.
People looking for serious partners tend to be a bit more discriminating and not sleep with someone without getting to know them.

Unfortunately, if you gave it up on the first night, it was just about the sex. When you sleep with a guy when you first meet him, that shows that you are easy. And easy girls are only good for sex. I'm not calling you easy, but if the night went like you described, most likely that's what he's thinking about you and it is unlikely that he will call back for anything other that sex.
And you don't even know if he was already in a relationship.

well you cannot respect someone you meet and the same night they are sleeping with you that just is not in the cards. If they are married then shame on you for being the other woman. I would probably not be waiting around on a phone call.

It would be JUST SEX.
But girl put a twist on it. Call him when you need sex, don't wait until he calls you. You play him not him play you. Oh and to help you out on that part, when he calls for sex act as if you are busy or sick. You may even be able to pull the cycle line. But if his cut-ie was that good and you want more, keep him around for your own goods.

No one can respect someone like that not even if its a grown man like in their forties or 20's. I think women should be more careful and respectful of their bodies. sure sex is great but at what cost? your soul and maybe your health. there are to many diseases around nowadays and people should be aware of this. just think 30 Min's or pleasure or aids.

Not if that's all he ever gets. But it is possible to change someones opinions of you you know. I met my husband that way, and my current boyfriend.
I ened my marriage by the way, before you all think it's coz he 'didn't respect' me.
My boyfriend alot of repsect for me, because I have respect for myself, I think that's the key really.
Don't let anyone treat you or put you in a position you don't want to be in.
If you wanted to sleep with him straight away, well, he can respect that that is your choice!

More than likely he wont respect the girl but every now and then you will meet a great guy. I know both types. Not everyone is the same.

You know i think that anytime you give it up right away.. you loose the respect from a man.. they are needy we have needs.. as far as sex goes.. I would not give him a second thought.. I would move on..

he has got what he wanted so he wont be in touch again! men would never consider becoming an item with someone for a serious relationship if he has screwed her after 4 hours cos he will think she is easy and will do it with anyone.
