it depends on what the character is:
Ming could be
冥 míng dark; deep;
名 míng name; (measure word for persons); place (e.g. among winners);
明 míng clear; bright; to understand; next; the Ming dynasty;
暝 míng dark;
榠 míng Chinese quince;
洺 míng name of a river;
溟 míng drizzle; sea;
瞑 míng close the eyes;
茗 míng Thea sinensis; young leaves of tea;
蓂 míng lucky place;
螟 míng Heliothus armigera;
鄍 míng place name;
銘 铭 míng inscribed motto;
鳴 鸣 míng to cry (of birds);
命 mìng life; fate;

The most probable ming is 明 míng clear; bright; to understand; next; the Ming dynasty; - this is both a last name (uncommon though) and in first names (very common, espically in guys)

lun could be
掄 抡 lūn whirl (one's arm);
侖 仑 lún arrange;
倫 伦 lún human relationship;
圇 囵 lún complete;
崙 仑 lún Koulkun mountains;
掄 抡 lún select;
淪 沦 lún perish;
綸 纶 lún classify; silk thread; twist silk;
論 论 lún the Analects (of Confucius);
輪 轮 lún wheel; gear; (by) turn; rotate;
錀 lún (metal);
論 论 lùn by the; per; discuss; theory; to talk (about); to discuss;

With out knowing the person I have no idea which lun it would be.
you could always ask them which lun it is

Ming means shining, bright, clear in English (the same as Clara). I couldn't trace Lun, but Lan means orchid, just in case there's a transcription problem!

ming as in 明亮, means clear, bright, shinning. Lun... hmm, can you print the character out? I only have 論, from 討論, to discuss.
