Does anyone know of a diet that I will lose 30 lbs(well, at least 20) by Christmas.

You can't lose 30 lb in 30 days without jeopardizing your health. At Easter this year I undertook a "cleanse", and lost 10 lb in about two weeks without even trying very hard. What I did was cut out ALL sugar and white flour products out of my diet. I filled up on vegetables and fruits and whole grain products. I really didn't go on a "diet" except for the sugar and flour products. I drank lots and lots of water, and made sure to exercize daily. I like to run, but power walking for at least a half hour will do the same. I have stayed with this healthier eating habit and have gone down 2 sizes in my clothes. I just use my common sense when eating and sometimes I do treat myself, but I don't miss the junk food at all.

Dude, that is a lot of weight in a very short time. You can probably do 20 -25 if you have the will power. 2 rules: 1 is keep a diary of what you put in your mouth, 2 - if you don't know how many calories something has, you can't log it in you diary and therefore you can't eat it. Stick to 1000 - 1200 calories per day. Drink plenty of water and or diet drinks. Fruit and veggies have fewer dense calories so pig out on those and measure everything. Portion control is key. Eat a balanced diet and take vitamins. Last lent, I gave up snacking and drinking booze and dropped 37 pounds in the 46 days or so. I did not cheat once during that time but it wasn't easy. I'm not a holy roller, I just used that time as an excuse to keep people off my back.

Good luck and activity is your friend. If you don't like exercise, at least walk. And avoid doing things that you would snack through like watching TV. Read instead.

BTW, I've tried Weight Watchers, Atkins and South Beach. They worked briefly but required changes in my diet and separate meals for me vs the family. With my method, I ate what they ate, just less of it.

Also, eat slowly and savor your food. It takes about 20 mins. for your brain to get the message that your stomach is full. So if you eat and are still hungry, get up and out of the kitchen. Take a walk and like magic, your hunger will be gone.

Sorry there is no diet that will help you lose 30 lb by Christmas. The way to lose weight safely is to lose 2 lb a week. By Christmas, that's on 8 lbs. But don't let that discourage you. If you start now, you will atleast lose 8 lbs.

Sorry, dear, but that's a highly unrealistic goal. Perhaps ten. Create a balanced diet and exercise for at least thirty minutes a day. Exercising is getting your heart rate at a high speed and keeping it there for at least thirty minutes. Don't over exercise or starve yourself, however, because that will not help at all.

Nope. That isn't safe and it won't stay off. You need to do it the right way and eat healthy, exercise and drink lots of water. No sodas, fats, limit carbs. It's a lifestyle change not something you do a couple of weeks before a holiday.

Losing this much weight that quickly is dangerous. 10lbs would be a more realistic goal. Try the south beach diet. You will lose weight relatively quickly the first couple weeks of that.

DONT TRY!! Thats sooo dangerous, and I doubt if its even possible. The most you can lose in a healthful manner should be 2 pounds a week.

ok this is the 30th of nov. right? you do realize that there are only 25 days until christmas and there is really no healthy way to loose that much weight in that little time

well if you are so desperate the only safe way of losing all that weight would probably be plastic surgery ha....but if that's out of the question you should just decrease your caloric input and exercise more often...you'll lose some weight, better than none

well if i knew how i would b alot skinnier by then myself. i do know i have lost large amounts of weight in a short time by drinking alotttttt of water, no carbs, and major exercise. good luck...buffy
