My husband had seen this device on TV that lets you watch your home TV from a remote location. I would like to look into getting it for him for Christmas but I can’t find it anywhere and it would help to know what it’s called!!! What is this thing called!??

I'm not sure of the name of the device, either, but I read about it in a magazine....geez, this sounds vague.

Really, I just wanted to pass on that the article in some magazine warned that their test version had poor video quality / picture resolution.

So really, I think that it would be a great gift - just a friendly warning to check out (and maybe study up on) picture quality / resolution before you purchase.

There doesn't seem to be a common name for these systems, but they are usually referred to as video streamers, wireless video transmitters/receivers, etc. Here's a link to a product at Crutchfield:
