At the winery they pronounce their name -- as best as I can write it -- tat --en -- zhair
tat -- as in tattoo
en - as the letter 'n'
zhair - like share and chair combined.
The first syllable ' tat' is emphasized.

My tongue doesn't work adequately enough BEFORE sipping that lovely champagne to properly enunciate "Taittingers" better yet AFTER I've had some. I've tried, too.

If you speak French, tay-tan-jay. If you speak English only, tat-in-jer. If you don't speak French, the accent won't be right anyway, so just go with the easy American pronuciation. If any non-French speaking person tries to correct you, they're just being snobs!

If I can't pronounce it the right (or even the wrong!) way, I write it down!
