It's normal. Some kittens have no problems with milk, but for most, it makes them either vomit or have diarrhea. Don't worry about. Just don't give her anymore for about 3 hours or more, then it should be fine. If she keeps vomiting a whole lot, then I wouldn't let her drink it anymore, but otherwise, it's fine. I hope I helped. <3

If you're talking normal milk, then the reason would be because cats are lactose intolerant, and if I'm to judge by the quick reaction, your kitten is more so than some others.

How old is your kitten? If younger than ten-twelve weeks, are you feeding her milk to compensate for not getting her mother's milk? In that case, you should look into replacements that aren't based on normal milk; if you call a vet or a shelter, I'm sure they can suggest something that would be good but at the same time not horribly expensive (shelters don't always have that much money).

If she hasn't had the same reaction before (and you've fed her the same thing several times), it would be a good idea to talk to a vet about it, since it could be something else behind it.

How old is she and did u give her regular milk or she is being nursed by her mother????

((Never give a cat regular milk as most cats are lactose intolerant and will have diarreha and maybe even vomit after drinking it.))

I would tell u to ask this question at

http://www.justanswer.com/

You will have to pay a very small fee like the least is 5 dollars to ask any question and there are some very experience people on there (vet assistants..nurses..) that answer your questions.. Ive had to ask some question about my cat and even things related to my health on there and they have been extremely helpful...and the good thing is you pay only when ur satisfied with the answer...if your not satisfied you dont pay them... its that simple.

Im telling you to go there and ask your question there because some people are hesitant to go to a vet because of how expensive they are...try asking the question but if your kitten seems in really bad shape then talk to a vet immediately....

Was this a kitten milk formula or normal milk? If this is something your kitten has not had before or has not had much of she may not be used to it and that can cause tummy upset.

Otherwise if she is eating and does not act lethargic or keep vomiting everything should be fine. If she keeps it up or gets worse call a vet ASAP.

I really, really, really hope you didn't give her regular milk. That is a huge NO, NO.

Milk is too strong for kitten's little systems. Never ever give your kitten milk, it can cause serious digestive problems. Go to your nearest Wal-Mart and get your kitten some milk replacement, it is only 3 or 4 bucks (I know, I have a kitten too). Your kitten should be fine as long as you DO NOT GIVE HER ANYMORE MILK.

I am glad you have asked for advice, a lot of people don't know not to give kittens milk. Good luck!

is it juice-boxed "kitten milk" from the store? that's not meant to be her only food, read all the warnings on its label. if it was mother's milk, your kitten may be too young and have an underdeveloped digestive system, get her to the vet ASAP. if it was cow's milk, bad move. cats are lactose intolerant (don't bother with soy milk, either, unless the vet says so.) best advice, call the vet for a good description of what's going on. if kitty has a decent doctor, they won't mind the questions.

Don't give your cat milk or food with soy. Soy has phytoestrogens and can cause hormonal imbalance. Purina Natural has soy bean in it.

When are people going to start reading labels on the stuff they feed their cats? The law is there and the manufacturers count on your not reading the label. Meat, meat, meat is all they need for good health.

Sorry the kitten is sick and now you know that she is a cat who can't metabolize cow's milk. Just let her have water for about 24 hours to give her intestinal tract a little rest.

What kind of milk? Normal cow milk? If so, it's not really good for cats to drink that kind. They can't digest it properly.

Try soy milk if anything, or the stuff they sell in the grocery stores especially for kittens/cats. I don't give my two cats milk.

i hope the milk she is drinking is not plain cow milk--kitties are lactose intolerant and will develop nasty diarrhea and vomiting from milk. PLEASE feed your kitty kitty stuff-there is kitsip milk--my kitty did not tolerate that one, either--try to feed your kitty kitten food-from a can. KMR kitten milk replacement stage II--powder--mix with canned foosds if you feel she needs milk.
keep milk away from her for a while--until her tummy is ok--then just give the KMR mixed with wet food. always keep on hand, i n a feeder dish, science diet or other GOOD kitten formula dry food, so kitten can eat when wants. kittens should be eating LOTS of food--keep it handy for kitty. no milk, unless KMR or equal brand, just for kitties, please.
