I think everyone has or should have SOMETHING to believe in...and that's all you can do is believe...it's something you may NEVER know but that's the great part in believing :) And yes, i think belief is necessary for existence...think of your life growing up as a kid without any beliefs?

Islam and Christianity are mutually exclusive. To be Muslim you have to believe Jesus was a prophet. To be Christian you have to believe Jesus is God, the Son of God. Christianity is specific, there is no other way to God except through Jesus. There is no other God than the Holy Trinity - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. It can't be both ways.
As far as your metaphor - does a tree falling in a forest make a sound when there is no one there to hear it? Yes, sound waves are created, just because there is no receptacle for them, doesn't mean they don't exist. God is real. Just because people haven't received Him doesn't mean He does not exist.

You may be right. The existence of stuff - like god or electricity - doesn't depend on your belief or lack, thereof.
I also tend to think that any religion that supports people being "good" (whatever that means) is probably right. In my birth religion people make a big deal about keeping kosher but, somehow, I can't imagine that god cares if I eat a hamburger with a glass of milk or not.
Good question!!

The fact is that everything exists inside the collective. Thus, your mental beliefs define your physical world. The mental is the bridge between the collective and the physical. Yes, every religion is right! You just realized this. The true religion is found hidden inside of each religion, the basic truths. We can't escape existence, we can only try to explain it. Religion is our explanation. Thus, existence and truth are in the fine lines of every religion.

I ask myself that all the time, and I have come with a few odd and strange ideas. But something that always stuck in my head was something that my philosophy teacher in high school told me: If you believe in something, it must be true because its in your mind and its something you feel. So that comes to the conclusion of maybe nothing is real, just a figment of the mind because so many thoughts and beliefs that contradict eachother, how will one belief cancel or be superior of the other?? The world may never know.

Christian or Muslim, it's the same God, just different politics. So if you believe in God, then Mohammed and Jesus both exist in a contextual, religious sense. It is irrelevant if God actually does exist; your belief in God is everything.

Your using scientific fact as an example which isn't a good idea when talking about religion. Personally I take the view that conventional religions offer very flimsy evidence up as indisputable fact…. This is clearly wrong, and furthermore has led to numerous wars and hardships. Bottom line is believe what you want to believe but try and live in harmony.

Electricity is irrefutable - we all KNOW it exists and anyone who believes it doesn't is a fool whereas all Gods exist only through the faith of their followers, you can't have evidence of His existence, because with evidence you don't need the blind belief.

Electricity is the movement of electrons
Electrons are tangible
They are not supernatural
So, this is a weak analogy
You talk about electricity as if it is supernatural like God (if exists)..

Belief is not necessary for existance...........otherwise many of us would not exist and yet we live..........which is existance of a sort.
In terms of the religious aspect of your post.....I personally do not believe that any (what I deem) organised religion is right...........they are variations on a theme.
