Does anyone know the history of a Catholic Monastery in Conesus, New York? When it was built, abandoned, etc.? It is just down the road from a vinyard.

I think you are talking about the Divine Word Seminary that closed in 1965.

It was part of the Society of the Divine Word: http://www2.dwci.edu/vocations/aboutus/index.html

I cannot find very much other information about the old seminary.

I don't think there is one in Conesus. Maybe you have the wrong town? Here's a list one ones close by, perhaps it's one of them.

i am not aware, you could ask the local parish for some info, maybe the library or town history book will mention it. hope you find out what you need,god bless.
