Stretch marks are pretty much permanent. They are scarring on your skin from sudden weight gain (from pregnancy, growth spurts, or getting extra pounds too quickly). They start out red or purplish but eventually fade to whitish lines. You can help them fade by keeping your skin moisturized, some recommend silicone creams used for scars. Other than than, you can take care of your skin by drinking plenty of water, using moisturizer and sunblock, and avoiding sudden weight gain.

To prevent stretch marks and scars effectively use cocoa butter or a mixture of olive oil and herbs. You can find more cheap and natural remedies for stretch marks and scars at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/stretchmarks.html

It depends, if they are the white stretch marks, they are there for good. if they are the purple ones, cocoa butter will help.

Well I have friend that had that same problem and some old lady told her an old school home remedy-lemon with salt on it. I guess the lemons natural acid bleaches your skin. Well needless to say she had to try it. After months of her using it off and on and told me it helped fade them quite a bit.

They will fade with time, but without costly medical procedures they are there to stay. They do have some cream/lotions on the market that claim to reduce them. I have tried a few, but they did not do the job. I have learned to love them because of the children that gave them to me.

Well, if it's purple-blue you can go to the doc. and ask them. But if it's white then you can't get rid of it. I saw it on Tyra... :)
