My son has mucus in his stool...?

What can this be?
It's not from his nose.
He's had it off and on.
He's 10 months old.

Nothing else has changed in his stools, just sometimes there is mucus.

Could be an infection.

Mucus in the stool is usally caused by Irritable bowel syndrome. but that is not seen with a 10 month old. Are you noticing anything else in his stools? changes with color?, Blood? is he vomiting?

take a sample to the lap to examine.
