The Dark is scary for children anyways. most people need to use the rest room 30-90 minutes after eating.
Dr. Spock's baby book has some good guide lines.
It is not a pirates code it is more just guide lines.

don't worry, my 3 1/2 yr old isn't completely potty trained for the night time. that takes some time. she is a very heavy sleeper so i have a feeling it will take a while. i am trying to train a 2 1/2 yr old girl i babysit and she is not catching on. she won't tell me when she has to go but if i ask her she will say yes and then go. just keep asking and don't force her to go. sometimes kids just do not want anything to do with the toilet. good luck, she is perfectly normal. just practice with her for a while longer till she gets used to it.

At 2 that is really good! :-) I can tell you that I personally peepeed the bed until I was 12. Today I'm an adult with children and I don't peepee the bed no more! However my three year old does. Don't worry hun. This too shall pass. Put a potty in her room so she can get up and use it if she want to. good nights are good diapers by the way. :-)

Its normal for a 2 year old to not get up and go potty on her own at night.
Ever try to wake a sleeping 2 year old? Theyre like the dead.
You need to think for her at night, wake her up at the same time each night to go potty, and eventually her body will stick to that pattern and she will automatically wake up and pee.
Just remain consistant with her on the subject. Talk to her about it often, and remember that she's only just starting to master the concept that the urge to pee means she needs to use the toilet, not just automatically relieve herself.
The more relaxed, informative, constructive, and consistant you are on the matter, the better she'll be with it.
You also need to be the parent and think for her, she wont always think to go pee instead of finish watching a cartoon, or instead of finishing a game with her toys. You need to monitor when she eats and drinks and remind her to use the toilet from time to time, until she starts to think of it on her own.

There is nothing wrong with children wearing a night diaper for a while when they are still in the process of potty training, don't stress over it. She's only 2, I wouldn't worry about it, she will grow out of it, she's young yet.

she is probably too young for that stage of development especially since she is just two. Most two year olds need alot of support about the potty thing and if you and your partner are asleep she might just lay there because she is too afraid of doing it along. The best thing to do is to not rush her and support all the way. potty trainging is an integral part of development and how you react to her can have an effect on her later on in life.

She is normal. It takes time to potty train 100%. Some kids in Kindergarten and First Grade still have accidents. Have a little patience.
