Life after death?

Question

I know u get creamated or buried but what is after that? Reincarnation, do you become a part of earth? I am afraid of the unknown-

I suppose that the vast majority are afraid of death because it is the ultimate trip into the unknown and we don`t like the fact that we do not know, but one thing is clear that we will all die one day and come to know if we were right or wrong about our beliefs.
there is however reassuring hope for all of us if we would just try to trust in Jesus, I mean what have we got to lose.
and Jesus said a wonderful thing about the afterlife and that is, `No eye has seen no ear has heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those who love Him,
I think that I want to be one of these whom Jesus is talking about.

What happens when a person dies?


The spirits of both the righteous and the wicked return to God. Their bodies return to dust.
"Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." Ecclesiastes 12:7.

Answer: The body turns to dust again, and the spirit goes back to God, who gave it. The spirit of every person who dies--whether righteous or wicked--returns to God at death.


3. What is the "spirit" that returns to God at death?


There is nothing mysterious about the spirit that returns to God at death. It is the breath of life.
"The body without the spirit ["breath," see margin] is dead." James 2:26. "The spirit of God ["the breath which God gave him," see margin] is in my nostrils." Job 27:3.

Answer: The spirit that returns to God at death is the breath of life. Nowhere in all of God's book does the "spirit" have any life, wisdom, or feeling after a person dies. It is the "breath of life" and nothing more.


4. What is a "soul"?


These four people are four souls.
"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Genesis 2:7.

Answer: A soul is a living being. A soul is always a combination of two things: body plus breath. A soul cannot exist unless body and breath are combined. God's Word teaches that we are souls.


5. Do souls die?


"The soul that sinneth, it shall die." Ezekiel 18:20. "Every living soul died in the sea." Revelation 16:3.

Answer: According to God's Word, souls do die! We are souls, and souls die. Man is mortal (Job 4:17). Only God is immortal (1 Timothy 6:15, 16). The concept of an undying, immortal soul goes against the Bible, which teaches that souls are subject to death.


6. Do good people go to heaven when they die?


"All that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth." John 5:28, 29. "David ... is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day." "For David is not ascended into the heavens." Acts 2:29, 34. "If I wait, the grave is mine house." Job 17:13.


Answer: No, people do not go either to heaven or hell at death. They go to their graves to await the resurrection day.

MANY PEOPLE HAVE MANY BELIEFS AS HEAVEN AND HELL BUT I GO BY THE BIBLE

In life People can have death and burial by fire or burial by fire Matt.10:28; If man put man there, God can resurrect from there.
In the bible and outside it, people did sacrifice humans to their gods in Tophet, Gehenna or the Valley of the son of Himmon out side Jerusalem's high wall.

WHAT JESUS SAID ABOUT DEATH

Jesus Christ spoke about the condition of the dead. He did so with regard to Lazarus, a man whom he knew well and who had died. Jesus told his disciples: “Lazarus our friend has gone to rest.” The disciples thought that Jesus meant that Lazarus was resting in sleep, recovering from an illness. They were wrong. Jesus explained: “Lazarus has died.” (John 11:11-14) Notice that Jesus compared death to rest and sleep. Lazarus was neither in heaven nor in a burning hell. He was not meeting angels or ancestors. Lazarus was not being reborn as another human. He was at rest in death, as though in a deep sleep without dreams. Other scriptures also compare death to sleep. For example, when the disciple Stephen was stoned to death, the Bible says that he “fell asleep.” (Acts 7:60) Similarly, the apostle Paul wrote about some in his day who had “fallen asleep” in death. 1 Corinthians 15:6.


The Bible teaches that the dead “are conscious of nothing at all.” They are not alive and have no conscious existence anywhere. The account of Lazarus confirms this. Upon returning to life, did Lazarus thrill people with descriptions of heaven? Or did he terrify them with horrible tales about a burning hell? No. The Bible contains no such words from Lazarus. During the four days that he was dead, he had been “conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5) Lazarus had simply been sleeping in death. John 11:11.
The account of Lazarus also teaches us that the resurrection is a reality, not a mere myth. Jesus raised Lazarus in front of a crowd of eyewitnesses. Even the religious leaders, who hated Jesus, did not deny this miracle.

Think about this too: If Lazarus had been in heaven for those four days, would he not have said something about it?— And if he had been in heaven, would Jesus have made him come back to earth from that wonderful place? Of course not!

Yet, many people say that we have a soul, and they say that the soul lives on after the body dies. They say that Lazarus’ soul was alive somewhere. But the Bible does not say that. It says that God made the first man Adam “a living soul.” Gen. 2:7, Adam was a soul. The Bible also says that when Adam sinned, he died. He became a “dead soul,” and he returned to the dust from which he had been made. The Bible also says that all Adam’s offspring inherited sin and death too.

The Scriptural teaching of the resurrection, however, is not compatible with the doctrine of the immortality of the soul. If an immortal soul survived death, no one would need to be resurrected, or brought back to life. Indeed, Martha expressed no thought about an immortal soul that was living on elsewhere after death. She did not believe that Lazarus had already gone to some spirit realm to continue his existence. On the contrary, she showed her faith in God’s purpose to reverse the effects of death. She said: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” (John 11:23, 24) Likewise, Lazarus himself related no experiences of some afterlife. There was nothing to report.

Clearly, according to the Bible, the soul dies and the remedy for death is the resurrection. You enjoy the best sleep ever, until Jesus resurrects you, sometime in the future.

some will tell you its heaven or hell ...
some will tell you about reincarnation ..
some will tell you that we just die...
my own personal belief is that we all go to realms of spirit

one thing that all these people have in common is ... that if we live this life and make it a good one ... be loving and compassionate ...
then there really is nothing to worry about
death comes to us all , we cant escape that
but after life ... we will go on to something better than this
even if that something is just an end to all suffering

Why the subject life after death carries so much curiosity? Is it because the death of a loved one makes the basic instinct in every human being come alive? Firstly, we desire to establish a contact with the departed soul. Secondly, there always remains a query as to what will happen to us after our death!

Shall we come back again and manifest another body or the life ends itself within this life! This query of life after death disturbs every single human being on mother earth. The prime reason that we work day and night to accumulate materialistic riches and in the fag end of life everything remains behind... is absolutely disturbing. We become wise in the field of our study and in a stroke of fate all would become useless. Why?


Why do we continue slogging on without ever contemplating upon the subject of life after death? Why can not every individual human being live like JRD Tata... a Karma Yogi par excellence!

In his lifetime JRD Tata never built a house for himself... what to say of worrying for the next life! He may or may not have believed in the continuity of life after death but one thing was absolutely clear to him. And that was, "we have only got only one life to live"! He truly lived this life to its best.

JRD Tata was an exemplary in the fact that he lived like a true trustee of God. He believed that everything owned by the Tata Empire truly belonged to God. And he was only a mere trustee in the hands of God. His only duty was to act as the maintainer... a true trustee on behalf of God and see to it that whatever has been placed in his charge never dips in value.


As a true trustee JRD Tata had no worries at all. As everything belonged to God... according to JRD the worries also belonged to God. And why should he worry on behalf of God. Whether there existed life after death or not... nothing mattered to him! What mattered to him most in the present life was caring for the objects placed in his custody by God Almighty. Your body maybe destroyed ,but your soul will stand accountable before GOD. We all have to account for our sins, BUT the good news is ....
